limen ("limen", "we", "us") is a service operated by Jacob Thomson, an individual sole trader (the "Seller"). When you create an account or use the service you enter into a binding agreement with the Seller on these terms.

You confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction and, if you are using limen on behalf of an organization, that you have authority to bind that organization.

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using limen, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Notice and our Refund Policy. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

limen is a situational-awareness platform that aggregates third-party geospatial data (basemaps, weather alerts, earthquakes, fires, aircraft, vessels, satellites, traffic) and provides tools to save areas of interest, incidents, and notes. It is intended as a planning aid, not as a substitute for official emergency services, navigation systems, or authoritative dispatch tools. You are responsible for verifying any information before acting on it.

You must not, and must not permit anyone else to:

• use limen for any unlawful purpose, fraud, spam, or harassment;
• infringe any intellectual property or privacy rights;
• interfere with the security or integrity of limen, including by introducing malware, probing, scanning, scraping, or circumventing rate limits or authentication;
• resell, redistribute, or sublicense the service or its data feeds;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where permitted by law.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity carried out under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

The Seller retains all right, title and interest in and to limen, including the software, design, branding, and documentation. Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use limen for your own internal purposes within the plan you have selected.

Third-party data feeds are owned by their respective providers and remain subject to their licences. You retain ownership of content you save (areas of interest, incidents, notes) and grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the service.

limen is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular data feed will be available at any given time. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel at any time via your account or via paddle.net; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and you retain access until then. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies or those of our upstream data providers. On termination, your right to use limen ends and we may delete your data after a reasonable export window.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Seller's aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with limen is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We will not be liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

You agree to indemnify and hold the Seller harmless from any claim arising out of your content, your use of the service in breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including outages of upstream providers, government action, or natural disasters.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Seller's country of residence. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts there, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country provides otherwise.

You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
